observers that he is the finest No 9 in international rugby, decided
yesterday to make himself available for his country’s two-match trip to the
United Kingdom. However, Victor Matfield, the South African lock who won the
man-of-the-match plaudits in last month’s final, may not travel ? a severe
threat to the credibility of a venture many already believe to be
ill-advised.
