Jonny Wilkinson is due to end speculation over his future by signing a new
contract at Newcastle Falcons this week. Wilkinson, who has been at the club
for a decade, is set to extend his stay at Kingston Park by at least two
years. A source said: “We anticipate everything will be sorted out by
Friday. The club has come up with an excellent offer, made clear their
desire to keep him and Jonny is happy and settled where he is.”
