Now Matthew Tait tests Newcastle’s powers of persuasion

With Jonny Wilkinson’s long-term future all but secured at Kingston Park,
Newcastle Falcons are turning their attention to keeping Mathew Tait, whose
contract expires at the end of the season. Tait, one of the success stories
of the World Cup and described by Mike Catt as the future of English rugby,
is one of the hottest properties in the game and any indication that the
21-year-old sees his future away from the North East is bound to alert a
host of clubs.
